Veneto by bike

  Tour

Veneto by bike: how wonderful!

The bike tour we offer will allow you to get to know a part of the Veneto that offers an extraordinary variety of landscapes. You will ride our bikes in the heart of the region along bike paths and walkable embankments of the many resurgence rivers that cross it, on a flat route practicable even by the less experienced.
It will be an authentic experience along an itinerary of about 154 km total that we recommend you complete in at least three days.
This is an opportunity to plan a weekend of recreation in pleasant company.

Let's get going!

You will leave from our rental in Oriago to reach Stra via the Serraglio River bike path that runs north of the Brenta Riviera.

After a break in the riparian town, you'll set off again along the Tergola River bike path that reaches San Giorgio delle Pertiche.
You'll find yourself on a dirt but easily navigable path that follows the natural sinuosity of the waterway.
Along the way, a cultural stop at the small country church of Santa Maria a Panigale in Bronzola, which probably dates back to the 9th century and is surrounded by a charming green area, is a must.

Nearby you will visit Tergolandia, an amazing nature park with open-air art installations.
Back on the road, you'll ride the bike path on the Muson dei Sassi, an artificial river dug in the 17th century by the Republic of Venice to divert the waters of the Old Muson south to the Brenta.

Historical routes and culinary traditions

Here you are at last in Castelfranco Veneto, the beautiful walled town whose medieval castle is in an excellent state of preservation. The moat surrounding it hosts the famous town palio in September and the Christmas markets in winter. Walking around the walls you will visit the monument to Giorgione, the famous late 15th-century painter who was born here and whose birth house and magnificent panel painting "Madonna and Child Enthroned" can be visited.

The ride will continue through the Treviso-Ostiglia bicycle path, a long route surrounded by greenery carved out of the former military railway of the same name.
Here you are then in Treviso. It is a stately city that offers many sightseeing opportunities thanks to its medieval monuments, buildings with the wheels of ancient mills, Venetian villas, and its world-renowned wine and food tradition. It is the land of Prosecco and IGP red radicchio and home of tiramisu!

Immersed in the natural park of the Sile

You will then return to Oriago along the Sile bike path, the longest resurgence river in Europe. The route is quiet and surrounded by lush vegetation; after all, you will be in the protected area of the Sile River Regional Nature Park. During your walk you will visit the Burci Cemetery, an open-air archaeological site where several burci, old boats used until the 1970s for river transport of goods, are visible.

You will certainly return with the smile of someone who spent a few days with stress-free cycling pleasure, immersed in the scenic and architectural beauty of our enchanting region.
